Not far from the prestigious Fiera di Genoa along the central Viale Brigata Bagno you will find the fascinating Gran Grotto restaurant.
The elegant restaurant has a Bertola family tradition and it has over 50 years of experience, professional competence, and a love for the traditional Ligurian cooking.
It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are two dining rooms that are well furnished and illuminated. It is a pleasing atmosphere where one can truly appreciate the specialties of meat and seafood that are prepared by Riccardo Bertola. In fact, his creativity and fantasy blend well with the Ligurian tradition.
The aromas and arrangements of the dishes served are very irresistible.
The antipastos such as lobster, dried salt cod, broad bean omelets, rabbit fillets, and guinea-fowl with radicchio of Treviso with balsamic vinegar are very special dishes. But there is also Veal apple curry and calvados, St. Pietro with black olives and pine nuts with a caramelized sauce with balsamic vinegar as well as raviolis with a seafood sauce, gragnano flowers with dentice and artichokes.
There is also a vast wine list that is presented at the table by Sergio Bertola who is an expert sommelier that will help choose the perfect wine for your meal.
