This 18th century Palazzo contains Italian, Flemish and Spanish masterpieces as well as a vast amount of Genoese paintings of the 16th and 17th centuries. Of great importance is the Byzantine silk Pallio that was donated in 1261 by the Emperor Michele VIII Paleologo.
