Logo How to get there: Highway A10 Genoa Ventimiglia, exit at Arma di Taggia and then take the S.S 548 of the Valle Argentina.

The picturesque and ancient town developed around the Argentina Torrent all the way to the hills. It has very ancient origins which is highlighted by the remains of Paleolithic bones found near Monte Faudo.

Historians believe that a little further South of the town a decisive battle was fought between the Liguri and Romans in 181 B.C. and a few years later the Romans celebrated their victory.

The high homes developed parallel to the main street and during the domination of the Counts of Ventimiglia the residential area was closed off by 5 gates that were well defended. In fact, you can still see the ruins of this fascinating history.

The Porta of St. Luca is situated on the bridge and it exalts the mystical Chapel.

In the Parish Church of St. Maria and St. Giorgio there are only a few traces of its Romanic origins.

In front of the church you can admire the Palazzo Boeri that has an important 16th century Loggia.

In the upper and older part of the town there is the small Chapel of St. Nicola that was built on top of the ruins of a previous Castle of the Counts of Ventimiglia.

On the Eastern slope of Mount Faudo the Tana Bertrand has displayed important anthropological findings.

Today, Badalucco holds many manifestations and it is a charming center of the hinterland that knows how to pass down with enthusiasm its ancient traditions that has captured the hearts of many tourists.
