How to get there: Villa Faraldi is located 7 kilometers after the San Bartolomeo al Mare exit (Highway A10).

The Strada dell’Olio begins at San Bartolomeo and it will take you a long a beautiful journey where you can see the signs of a difficult farming life carried out throughout the centuries.
Precise terraces will take you to the town of the Alta Valle dello Steria, a little more then 300 meters above sea level.
It was a precious feud of Clavesana and it became a possession of the Genovese in the 13th century, but it remained autonomous and this led to historical administrative battles.
It is made up of the following communities: Riva Faraldi, Deglio Faraldi, Tovo, and Tovetto Faraldi and the town offers narrow alleys that are well-lit at night that highlights the beauty of this feudal agglomerate.
The Parish Church of St. Lorenzo has a beautiful stucco decorated façade and a Baroque bell tower that goes towards the sky. A precious memorial stone of the 2nd-3rd centuries and an extraordinary polyptych dedicated to the martyr Sebastiano are the treasures of the sacred building.
In the Church of St. Bernardo at Deglio there is a Pancalino polyptych that exalts the artistic patrimony of the area as well as a group of 17th century wooden figures that portray the Trasfigurazione in the community of Riva.
In the church of St. Antonio Abate at Tovo there is an enchanting medieval fountain.
The local gastronomy offers the tastes of the Ligurian traditions such as farinate and vegetable torts.
But the true jewel of Villa Faraldi is the Festival of art, music, and theater that is held annually in the month of July and it is gaining international fame. The Administration of the Local Government has beautifully highlighted its artistic patrimony and has known how to keep this area alive.
